The only time my PS3 can pick up my network is straight after I have done PS3 Restore to factory settings, just after setting up the time, I have the option to set up the network. It successfully finds my SSID even showing that it is a 100% strong connection.

However, I've been looking for an easier solution. I've read conflicting reports about using Wifi adapters for them, and I was wondering if this would work to connect it to the Internet: For PlayStation 3 on the PlayStation 3, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "Did the 60 GB "fat" ps3's have built in wifi?". All models, excluding the 20 GB model, include 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. In addition to all of the features of the 20 GB model, the 60 GB model has internal IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, multiple flash card readers (SD/MultiMedia Card, CompactFlash Type I/Type II, Microdrive, Memory Stick/PRO/Duo) and a chrome colored trim.
